iScripts eSwap upgrade Manual

 

Prelude

Please read every step of the necessery instructions before undertaking the first step. It is always a best idea to backup your all data before performing any sort of update. Before you begin the upgrade process, you must confirm that you have a full backup of your database. After you have backed up your database, ensure that you download the complete contents of your current installation to a safe location on your local computer.

Upgrade procedure

Take the backup of your existing eSwap 2.3 Files and Database.

Given below are the files or folder that are mandatory for the upgrade. Make sure to keep backup of the following:

a) includes/config.php 

b) pem

c) banners

d) your logo(logo in images folder)

e) pics

 

Copy the files and folder from the newly purchased pack (ie, eSwap 2.4) to your existing site folder.

 

Overwrite all files and folders.

 

Replace all your current files with the new one except pics, banners, pem, your logo(logo in images folder) and includes/config.php file.

Set 'Write' permission to the following folders (Set folder permission as 777)

 

a) includes/config.php 

b) pem

c) banners

d) your logo(logo in images folder)

e) pics

 

 

Run the following URL in your browser and follow the instructions.

http://www.yoursitename/upgrade2.4/ 

 

Once it is done press the 'Upgrade' button to start the upgrade procedure.

  

When the upgrade procedure is completed successfully, cross check your existing files and database with the upgraded one.
