iScripts MultiCart Upgrade Manual

 

Prelude

Before you take the first step, please read each step in the relevant guide. It is always recommended to back up your data before updating any data. Before starting the upgrade process, you need to make sure that you have a full backup of the database. After backing up the database, download all currently installed content to a safe location on your local computer.

Upgrade procedure

Take the backup of your existing MultiCart 3.0 Files and Database.

Given below are the files or folder that are mandatory for the upgrade. Make sure to keep backup of the following:

a) includes/config.php 

b) .htaccess

c) products

d) banners

e) digital_product

f) Portfolios

g) Homepage banners

h) Seller banners

i) categories folders 

Copy the files and folder from the newly purchased pack (ie, MultiCart 3.1) to your existing site folder. 

Overwrite all files and folders. 

Firstly, copy includes/config.php and .htaccess files from the backup of Multicart 3.0 to your existing site folder

 Next, copy all the images from the backup of MultiCart 3.0 'products' folder except 'noimage.jpg' to your existing products folder in your site .

Finally, copy banners, digital_product, portfolios, homepage banners, seller banners and categories folders from the backup of MultiCart 3.0 to your existing site folder.

 Set 'Write' permission to the following folders (Set folder permission as 777)

 

a) Products

b) Portfolios

c) Products/bulk_images

d) Pem

e) Banners

f) Digital_product

g) Csv

h) Products/zip

i) Homepage banners

j) Seller banners

k) Categories/avatar

l) Categories

  

Run the following URL in your browser and follow the instructions.

http://www.yoursitename/upgrade3.1/

Note : Edit/update each existing coupon code and assign the respective seller to which the coupon code is applied. 

 

Note : All cart data will be emptied, so no items will be shown in cart for an existing users

Once it is done press the 'Upgrade' button to start the upgrade procedure

 When the upgrade procedure is completed successfully, cross check your existing files and database with the upgraded one
