iScripts SocialWare: Upgrade Manual

 

Prelude

Please read every step of the relevant instructions before undertaking the first step. It is always a good idea to backup your data before performing any sort of update. Before you begin the upgrade process, you must ensure that you have a full backup of your database. After you have backed up your database, ensure that you download the complete contents of your current installation to a safe location on your local machine.

 

Upgrade procedure

Take the backup of your existing SocialWare Files and Database.

 

Replace all your current files with the new one except group_photos, album_photos, avatars, member_photos folder and config.inc.php file.

 

Copy the files and folder from the newly purchased pack (ie, SocialWare) to your existing site folder.

 

Run the following URL in your browser and follow the instructions.

http://www.yoursitename/upgrade3.1/

 

Once it is done press the 'Upgrade' button to start the upgrade procedure

  

When the upgrade procedure is completed successfully, cross check your existing files and database with the upgraded one
